YUVA is the pioneering organisation, which promotes STEM education through robotics in Mauritius.
STEM is an abbreviation that stands for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. STEM is an interdisciplinary approach to learning where academic concepts are coupled with real-world lessons. Students apply science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in contexts that make connections between the classroom and the world around them.
STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines — science, technology, engineering and mathematics — in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning paradigm based on real-world applications.
Participation of YUVA’s STEM education students in Mexico and Dubai:
The mission of YUVA’s STEM education initiative is to inspire science and technology leadership and innovation in young people from Mauritius in order to increase understanding, impress the importance of cooperation, address the world’s most pressing issues, and improve quality of life for all.
This mission is accomplished through robotics training.

By showing the youth of Mauritius that if they learn how to communicate, cooperate, and work together using the tools of science and engineering to find solutions to the world’s grand challenges – water, energy, security, medicine, food, and education – they learn how to work with each other, trust each other, and become part of a truly global community.
